All the Pyongyang citizens enjoy traveling on the Pyongyang Metro all day all year round. The Pyongyang Metro is associated with the world of love of President Kim Il Sung, who devoted his whole life to the people. The President personally planned the construction of the subway and clearly indicated the orientation and ways for carrying it into practice. In addition, he led the whole course of the project step by step. In order to provide our people with a more civilized and cultured life as early as possible, the President made a ceaseless journey to the dangerous muddy construction site and even went down deep into the working face to solve every problem arising in the project. Feeling so sorry for the people waiting in bus queues in the cold weather, he kept himself at the construction site skipping his meals and spent nights setting right the subway lines for the convenience of the people. Thanks to the wise guidance of the President, the construction of the Pyongyang Metro, which was said to be impossible without the technical and material help of foreign countries, was finally completed by our own efforts.
