Being a lecturer and a researcher for over 50 years he newly opened up 20 subjects like Electric Appliances Design and Making and Testing of Electric Appliances. He wrote tens of kinds of textbooks and reference books of up to 30 000 pages such as Encyclopedia of Electric Engineering. He developed an electronic valve for dancing fountain, established voltage surge compensation system of UHP electric arc furnace and carried out many other research projects. Kim has worked as a department head and a lecturer for 43 years and written 12 kinds of textbooks and reference books of more than 30 000 pages. He trained over 40 sci-tech reserves and gave satisfactory solutions to a number of problems including integrated automation system of roasted sulphuric acid in smelting plants.

In the last 33 years he has written 9 kinds of textbooks and reference books of over 10 000 pages including Up-to-date Electric Power and Electronic Elements, Micro sensor and Functional Device and Modern Power Semiconductor Device and its Application, and has trained 9 persons with academic degrees and titles.

He was a lecturer, a department head and a faculty dean for 50 years. He was the first in our country to complete the design and building of ship for rapid flow river and finished many research projects for several sectors of national economy.

People’s Scientist, Dr. and Associate Prof. Ri Jun Gi, head of Analyser Institute
By developing Near Infrared Rays Spectroscopy, he was awarded a prize and a medal for invention presented by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He also greatly contributed to the development of the eonomy and of science and technology by successfully developing 10 cutting-edge analysing instruments including fluorescence spectroscopy.
Prof. and Dr. Kim Kang Sop, researcher of Engineering Scientific Institute
He has been working as a MTnet member of the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IAGA) since 2013. He participated in the 19th International Workshop on Electromagnetic Induction in the Earth and the International Seminar on Mt. Paektu Volcano to present good scientific papers, and contributed some 10 articles to SCI and EI.
Dr. and Associate Prof. Kim Chon Ung, head of Laboratory of Water Treatments
He participated in 13 international seminars, including the 7th International Conference on Electromagnetics; and the International Electrical and Electronic Engineers’ (IEEE) 9th Seminar on Dielectric Material Application to present good papers. In February 2005, his Capacitive Grading Device for Protecting Corona Discharge in High Voltage Electric Machine Stator Bar was registered as an international patent. He has been working as an inspector of the magazine Polyma Engineering and Science since 2006 and that of the magazine Journal of Applied Polyma Science since 2007. He also contributed 22 articles to SCI and 9 to EI.
Dr. Kang Myong Chol, researcher of the Semiconductor Institute
He designed and manufactured in a Korean way the capacitive pressure sensor that is of great significance in modernizing the national economy and has been channelling his efforts into training reserves. He has been working as an inspector of the magazine Sensor and Actuator since 2017 and also contributed one article to SCI.
Dr. Song Hak Jin, teacher of Faculty of Mechanical Science and Technology
