Main Building

The building was completed on December 18, Juche81(1992). It is a rectangular 15-storeyed building situated on the bank of the Taedong River, with a total floor space of 90 476 square metres. Serving as bases for the College of Information Science and Technology and 11 other colleges and faculties including the Faculty of Metal Engineering, education execution units and administrative departments, the building has more than 1 350 department rooms, multifunctional lecture halls, laboratories and classrooms.

Revolutionary Museum

The University Revolutionary Museum was inaugurated on December 29, Juche104(2015). The museum, with a total floor space of over 2 300 square metres, has on display valuable photos and historic relics related to the immortal leadership exploits performed by the peerless great men for the foundation and development of the university in nine exhibition rooms and several other rooms.

Building No.1

Building No. 1, with a total floor space of 10 118 square metres, is a five-storeyed one built in September Juche47(1958). It is used by the Faculty of Resources Probing Engineering.

Building No.2

Building No. 2, with a total floor space of 7 684 square metres, is a five-storeyed one built at the end of June in Juche44(1955). It is used by faculties of Mining Engineering and Applied Chemical Engineering.

Building No.3

Building No. 3, with a total floor space of 7 653 square metres, is a five-storeyed one built in October Juche44(1955). It is used by the College of Mechanical Science and Technology.

Mirae Sci-tech Center built in December Juche107(2018) is a modern comprehensive base which is well equipped to develop and produce globally-competitive products of advanced technology needed for the development of the national economy and improvement of the people’s living standard with integration of education, scientific researches and production as dynamic force. Covering a total area of some 14 400 square meters, it is well furnished with ten-odd development and production areas, Internet serving area for academic exchange, international symposium hall, a conference room, an interview room and so on. In Kim Chaek University of Technology, professors, researchers, graduates and students are working for the development teams and dive into and produce technical products.
