Once Chairman Kim Jong Il was on the field guidance to Taehongdan County. Time passed a lot, so the Chairman happened to have lunch there. When he pulled up at a vacant lot of a workteam’s shelterbelt of the Changphyong Farm, Taehongdan County, there was a place for roasting potatoes. He sat down on a humble wooden bench without ceremony. All the things before the officials sitting around him were a low table and roast potatoes on it. Roast potatoes were the only food. Helping them to the roast potatoes, the Chairman himself had one. His lunch at that time was only two potatoes and a glass of water. That day was the significant 5th anniversary when he was elected General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
