Cherished View of Arms

One day in June 1995, Chairman Kim Jong Il said meaningful words about arms, sitting together with some commanding officers of the Korean People’s Army. He said: I value and love a pistol most. I was given a pistol at the age of eleven from President Kim Il Sung. At that time I had no idea why he gave me the pistol. Following an arduous and thorny path of revolution, I heartily felt why he gave it to me when I was young and how valuable it was. He continued: I always share my life with my pistol. Even if everything in the world changes, only a pistol will never betray its master. A pistol can be said to be an eternal companion and comrade of revolutionaries. This is my cherished view of and attitudes towards arms.
