Candidate acad., Prof., Doc. Pak Ji Min, Deputy Head of the College of Information Science and Technology is a gifted scientist who played a pivotal role in developing the integrated automation system of the oxygen blast furnace and the computer control system of the vacuum refining furnace which is of great significance in establishing the Juche iron production system of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex.
He personally undertook the design of the general system configuration and the system development of several parts of the integrated automation system of the oxygen blast furnace.
At the same time, he made a great contribution to developing the computer control system of the vacuum refining furnace which needs an urgent demand in improving the quality of steel plates.
He brought up a large number of doctors, masters of engineering and talented sci-tech personnels who can contribute to the academic development of the country by scientifically planning and responsibly executing a curriculum needed for educating the talents in control engineering field with high faculties of inquiry and application.
He is now full of a firm determination to raise the educational and scientific research onto a higher level to add lustre to his motherland with wonderful achievements, who brought him up into a top-honored scientist & technician.
