The 34th Sci-Tech Festival of Kim Chaek University of Technology was held in the University Indoor Stadium from February 11 to 14, Juche108(2019).
Into this festival, which is held under the subject of “Spirit of Self-Reliance and Might of Science and Technology”, more than 230 excellent sci-tech findings and cutting-edge and new technical products were entered by lecturers, researchers and postgraduate students; the integrated automation system of the oxygen blast furnace of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the efficiency raising and combustion stabilizing technology by the combustion control of the pulverized coal boiler of the thermal power station, circulating fluidized bed boiler of Samjiyon potato powder factory, and other scientific research achievements contributing to making raw and other materials and equipment home-made.
The festival was held, divided into 9 sub-fields of mechanical industry and IT, in the form of presenting, exhibiting and exchanging the successes.
In this festival, Yom Tae Song, Head of Department of Faculty of Thermal Engineering who entered the “Efficiency Raising and Combustion Stabilization by the combustion control of the pulverized coal boiler in the Thermal Power Station” and 100 other participants had the honor of winning the top prize(collective).
And “High-speed Twin-Hull Steel Fishing Boat” and 14 items were awarded the 1st place, “Salt Water Level Radio Measuring Device” and 24 items the 2nd place, and “Dissemination and Protection System of Software Products” and 29 items the 3rd place.
