The Exhibition of Educational & Scientific Achievements was held in the Indoor-stadium of Kim Chaek University of Technology from Sep.26 to Sep.30.
The entire lecturers and students of the university have made brilliant achievements in the scientific research to promote the university educational work and the economic development of the country for a year, bearing in mind the great trust of the respected Comrade
In the exhibition, the textbooks, reference books and education-aid programs and state-of-the art experimental equipments were highlighted, which reflect the world trend of the educational development and educational requirements.
In the exhibition, the scientific research achievements such as the combustion stabilization technology of the pulverized coal boiler in the thermal power station, daylighting system by the solar light induced equipment, unmanned plane for fire protection guiding System, whole direction autoguided vehicle, hologram fan, power generation system using rice hull gas were highly estimated to be practical and of great economic significance.

Sports competitions and entertainment games of the teaching staff and students were held from Sep.16 to 27 in the gym and playground of the university on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of giving on-the-field guidance to Kim Chaek University of Technology of the respected Comrade
Through some competitions and games such as health Taekwondo, popular rhythmic gymnastics, tug of war, football, volleyball, basketball and table tennis, the teaching staff and students fully demonstrated the high techniques, spirit of collectivism and ennobling moral traits they had cultivated by taking an active part in mass sports in the last times.
Not only so impressive were the games which were demonstrating the unity of the collective and showing the combative spirit, quick and skillful activities and thrilling goals continuously but so cheerful was the enthusiasm of cheering the athletes of the teaching staff and students in a crazy way that made the sports and games more competitive.
The Faculty of Industrial Economic Management took part in the final game after winning all opponent units from qualifying to semi-final games and won the first place in the football game.
The Faculty of Materials Science and Technology won the 1st place in the basketball game, the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Technology in the volleyball and table-tennis games, the Faculty of Information Science and Technology in the tug of war and the Distance Faculty in tennis and badminton games.
Through the competitions and games, the teaching staff and students fully demonstrated their burning enthusiasm and will that they are going to make a great contribution to the building of the powerful socialist country with greater successes in education and science and technology by improving their physical fitness.

Marking the 1st anniversary of on-the-spot guidance to Kim Chaek University of Technology by the respected Comrade

A research group of head of the Physics Engineering Faculty developed the technology for measuring precisely the 3 dimension outline of the thing by means of the injection of the straight line laser and processing the value of co-ordinates with the computer so that they could make a great contribution to different aspects of the light industry and public healthcare and physics culture including clothing and shoes industry.
They devised the precise micro-vibrating apparatus which can inject the outline of the thing with the straight line laser and detect its light lines and also developed the 3-dimension producing program to get more correct outline of the thing. At present this research group is channeling a great effort to improving the accuracy of this technology.

A research group of Kim Chol Hyon, a teacher of Faculty of Physics Engineering succeeded in developing the laser vibrating meter which can measure the number of vibration of micro-vibrating things as well as the width of vibration by dividing them into tens of nanometers so as to add successes to different aspects of the national economy.

The research team including Jang Chol Min, head of laboratory of Nano Physics Engineering Institute developed the gas-detecting transmitter and application technology of micro-bubble, and are building on its success.
They succeeded in developing the gas-detecting material which is capable of detecting quickly and precisely ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide in the air and on the basis of this, they also developed the automatic gas-detecting transmitter which is capable of measuring and controlling the gas in the given building in real time by manufacturing the solid-state detector which has higher adaptability to environment, lasts longer and is much cheaper than an electrical and chemical way.
They also introduced the micro-bubble technology into purification of waste water so that they could speed up the disintegration of aerobic microorganism into organic materials, and created the reliable technical guarantee for discharging purified water by establishing the process of purifying waste water bio-chemically which can improve the average characteristic indices of water quality such as biochemical and chemical requirement for oxygen and ratio of removing ammonia nitrogen in comparison with the general porous plant by 10 or 20 % and decrease the consumption of electric power to less than 80 % by means of oxidization of organic polluting material which are impossible to decompose with radical ions generating micro-bubbles.
As a result of introduction in one stock-farm, this technology proved very efficient and economic.
In the future, fruitful will be their continuous research for applying it to various fields including purification of water as well as production of crops and vegetables, aquatic culture, IC cleansing, floriculture and preservation of freshness of fishes.
