Ambition Highly Encouraged

On June 6th, Juche 101(2012), the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un attended the joint national meeting of the Korean Children’s Union organizations in celebration of the 66th founding anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union and delivered a congratulatory speech to all the children across the country, and in the afternoon he watched the concert with the representatives of the Children’s Union. Feeling regretful to leave after spending the whole day with them, he called some representatives beside him. Looking at them one by one, who had run to the place at a breath in an ecstasy of joy, he kindly asked a pupil from Janggang County what he was going to be. Expressing great satisfaction at his reply to serve in the Korean People’s Army (KPA) all his life as an officer, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un hoped for the best wishes for his future.

Orphans Should Cut Inaugural Tape

One day in a June, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Wonsan Baby Home, which was nearing completion. Absolutely delighted with the best home in the world to present to the orphans, he wore a smile on his face all the time. Enjoying an overall view of the baby home for a while, he suddenly raised the topic of cutting the inaugural tape. Looking around the officials with inquiring looks, he said that the orphans should cut the ribbon at the inauguration ceremony of Wonsan Baby Home and Wonsan Orphanage. Then, he added that they would never forget the scene of cutting the ribbon of their homes themselves even after they have become grown-ups. Receiving his instructions, the officials keenly realized the great love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who is so solicitous about bringing up orphans to be the bright future of the country.

What was Never Admitted

In the late 1990s, innumerable letters were sent to the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea from the service personnel and people who were earnestly longing for erecting the bronze statue of Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters positively supported it, saying they would have nothing to regret about, now that the bronze statue of the Chairman was to be erected. Even the revolutionary peoples over the world offered to the Chairman their propositions reflecting their sincere feelings. The Chairman had benevolent will that could bring down a star from the sky if it were for people’s wish. However, he would reject the proposal of the erection of his own statue. One day, Chairman Kim Jong Il sat together with some officials and refused the will of the officials flatly, instructing that as a soldier of President Kim Il Sung, he had a historic mission of making our people well-off and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, following the lifelong intention of the President. Our people’s earnest desire for having the statue of the Chairman, who performed the greatest exploits for our Party and revolution, came true by the noble moral obligation of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Even in the Days of Fatherland Liberation War

It happened during the past Fatherland Liberation War. On the way to the front, President Kim Il Sung found himself looking for a while at the mountains packed with trees in a county. He was very satisfied with it, saying that forest resource is the precious wealth of the country. Then, he praised the people in the county for taking good care of and protecting the forest in the raging flames of war. After a while, he said that the love for every tree and every blade of grass of the country is none other than patriotism. Full of confidence, he continued that although this locality had been regarded as a remote mountainous area unfit for human inhabitation before, the inhabitants could surely live a happy life if they made good use of the abundant forest resource after the victory in the war. Seeing trees on the mountains amid the flames of the war, the President was so delighted thinking first of the appearance of the country that would become more beautiful and the happiness of people. Indeed, President Kim Il Sung was a peerless patriot and the great father of the people.

Play Areas in Department Store

There are some excellent indoor play areas for children at Pyongyang Children’s Department Store. Those picturesque play areas that look like a paradise in a fairy tale remind us of one day in May, Juche 101(2012), when the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the store. On the day, looking at the officials, he suggested setting up some play areas for children in the department store. They were very surprised at that moment as they were expecting some precious teachings in connection with the management of the store. He called upon the officials with dubious looks to lay out some play areas on each floor so that children could enjoy themselves while their parents were doing shopping in the store. Then, he gave detailed instructions on taking a hall or a place suitable for amusement facilities for children, instead of sparing a room. When he returned, he sent a lot of pieces of equipment for the indoor play areas. This is how the indoor play areas for children were set up at Children’s Department Store.

Mirae Scientists Street

One day in May, Juche 103(2014), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of apartment houses for lecturers of Kim Chaek University of Technology. Looking around almost every corner of the site, he paid great attention even to the slightest inconvenience that the lecturers and their families might feel living in their new homes before long. However, he was still not satisfied with the project. He mapped out another grand plan for scientists and educators. He gave instructions on building more flats along the bank of the Taedong River starting from the flats under construction to form a new street. And he added that it would be good to name it Mirae Scientists Street. Then, he affectionately said that he felt happy at the thought of building the Mirae Scientists Street for the lecturers and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology. Thanks to the warm love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, Mirae Scientists Street, the fairyland in the era of the Workers’ Party, could show its graceful appearance on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River.
